The TL431 regulates its cathode voltage to 2.5V times (1 + R1/R2) between reference and cathode. Output can be set from 2.5V up to 36V with two resistors.
Reference accuracy is typically 0.5%-2% depending on grade, cathode current 1-100mA, and it operates from 2.5V to 36V. Available in TO-92, SOT-23 and SOIC-8.
It is used in switch-mode power supply feedback loops (with optocouplers), linear regulator references, voltage monitoring and battery chargers.
TL431 is produced by TI, onsemi, NXP and many others. Specify package and tolerance grade (e.g., TL431ACLP). HuaXinGou verifies stock and batch on request.
