The CH340 is a USB-to-UART bridge IC supporting USB 2.0 full speed, with built-in clock and configurable TXD/RXD levels. Common variants: CH340G (SOP-16), CH340C (with crystal integrated), CH340N (SOP-8, 3.3V).
It provides UART up to 2Mbps, supports hardware flow control (RTS/CTS), and works out of the box on Windows, macOS and Linux with standard drivers.
Used in Arduino clone boards, programming adapters, instrument UART debugging, and industrial device USB ports.
