The 1N4007 handles 1A average forward current with 1000V repetitive peak reverse voltage, in DO-41 axial package. It is the highest-voltage member of the 1N400x family.
Used in bridge rectifiers, AC-DC adapter input stages, reverse polarity protection and general power rectification.
SMD replacements include S1M (SMA) and SS110 (Schottky). For higher current, use 1N5408 (3A) or S3M.
